Hello, living room help is sought.
Comments (27)I really love your room - exciting shapes. You only need one thing to kick-start your imagination. Lose the animal skin and choose one large beautiful multi coloured rug (could be very modern, ethnic, or even antique) to reflect the sofa colours and add cushions to echo the rug colours. This will bring the sofas together and unify the lost space between them. Then the rest will follow naturally; e,g, art, ornaments coffee tables lamps etc;. You might like to think about a radiator cover that stretched across the whole of that wall with a shelf on top and VERY large flat louvres across the entire width. This will make that wall appear to be wider and the full width louvres will accentuate that feel. Above, on the shelf sit lovely modern vases, glass ornaments etc; above that a large stunning piece of art. Good luck - you are lucky to have such an interesting starting point....See MoreNeed help for my study
Comments (12)Hi. Have you ever considered a real interesting eye catching piece of art work to really brighten up an area, I think a select piece of art would really make the space stand out, add interest, colour, texture and add a great talking point to the room.... Please check out my website if like the idea and please get in contact, commission work is also welcomed so if you like a particular style I can do in a select colour palette and size but with this it can only be done as a original piece and not a print.....but all prints i can do to the same size or smaller than my original paintings, so lots of options. www.guigsART.co.uk...See MoreNeed help with small study
Comments (5)Sometimes there is. If you tap on the photo it will enlarge and a more info sign will appear in the bottom corner. Tap on that and sometimes there is more information about used products and colours. You can also ask questions, but not every designer answers them. But you can at least see the photos as a source of inspiration....See MoreHelp with ground floor layout please...... playroom, snug or study?
Comments (19)We did love some of the suggestions above… but stuck with our original plan! Although we did change the kitchen layout from U-shaped to ”farmhouse” style, with the table in the middle and sink under the window overlooking the garden. The old dining room has become an office with two desks - partly due to COVID and the need to work from home and homeschool etc! We have also moved a lot of the children’s toy storage in here although they still bring things into the main lounge to play where there’s more room. At 8 and 5, they also actually now keep and play with a lot of toys in their rooms, so I think the old dining room will remain as more of a computer and homework room - it’s nice being able to shut the door! The ”study” on the plan is very much a workshop/gym/play room for my husband! We didnt want to sacrifice that space. It might turn into a teenage den later on perhaps, or even a downstairs bedroom for my Nan. The small upstairs bedroom has become a second office as I’m also still working from home (and my husband has too many meetings downstairs!). It houses our sofa bed too so acts as a spare room and my space to do yoga and sewing. Overall, we are pleased with how everything turned out. We quite like the option to have space away from each other and the flexibility to change the use of the different rooms. We do all spend a lot time together in either the kitchen or main lounge as plenty of space in both....See MoreSonia
