Island and Attached Table Size

Hi,
Can you please provide the dimensions of the island and the table? Is the table attached to the island?

The kitchen island is 6'0" x 3'6" and the table is not attached to the island. The table was purchased by the client and pushed up-to the waterfall of the island.

so after many months it's done, thanks to all that posted here, you help made me think about things like the necessity for a proper dining table. the room has turned out great, I've yet to used the dining table as it was literally finished on Saturday. If you go for a quartz or other solid surface, then any fabricator should be able to do a table for you. You need to face the back with something, we used mdf when we did it, and attach legs of your choice. In laminate you would need to buy a breakfast bar type top and use edging strips on the ends, so would have width limitations.

Ok, so I have attached a few pics that I have created on the homebyme website. Pics show the floorplan and a possible room layout. This is to be a kitchen/diner. The space is currently there, it just is 2 separate rooms at the moment and we will be removing walls to create this space. Top wall in pic is 5m, of which will be 3.6 m sliding doors to garden. We originally had island parallel to the run of units along the left side wall. We have now rotated so it is perpendicular to the run of units. Behind island is staircase, underneath which will be fully built in, units to include fridge freezer and larder. The distance I have allowed between the back of the island and the understairs storage is 1.2m, would this be enough should there be someone sitting at a stool, and would I still be able to open a cupboard behind? Any suggestions more than welcome! The left side wall is 4.55m til the doorway, this run of units needs to include sink and cooker and at the end I have put in the pic full height tall unit to hold washing machine and boiler. I would like a bit of symmetry with that run of units, but just been playing about with it tonight! Could this work? Thanks for looking!

Hello, we have a 2300mm x 1200mm island and 4 seats altogether in a right angle ( 2 on each side ). On the 1200mm side there are 2 seats so 600mm per person, on the 2300mm side there is 1400mm for the seating so 700mm per person ( but need to take into account of the corner ). The overhang is 300mm. The proportions seem fine. I guess it also depend in the depth of your cupboards underneath. Definitely don't have 5 seats in a row, they look nice in photos but it would be tricky to talk to each other. I only have a photo without the seats at the moment but we have since bought bar stools and the proportions do work, it's just that my island is currently too messy to take a photo :-). I'll try and take one in the morning with the bar stools in!
