Who makes this fabric with the leaves/trees on it?

Hello,

Thank you for your interest in our Mill House project.

The fabric used for the cushions is called Alcinca Beige Blue by Colefax and Fowler.

Although we've gone for fabric in this poll, we know that for most of us this very much comes down to a choice between comfort and aesthetic. Leather is a bit more of an acquired taste when you're talking about comfort, whereas the right fabric sofa comes with comfort built in. If like us you love great textile design, a sumptuous fabric sofa is definitely an opportunity to explore the work of some well established textile designers like Margo Selby or new breed upholstery & textile design houses like Native Flok in Edinburgh. Okay, so you may just be looking for a lovely, comfortable sofa you can curl up on and watch Strictly, but even then, if approached with a sense of adventure, navigating the brave new world of textile design can still be very exciting stuff!

Feature wall - with a window in it?

I think that people mostly wallpaper all their walls, or, just one feature wall (usually the one you face when sitting) I was looking at the thread of emails and Moniker sent 2 pictures right at the beginning that I think look fab. A few subtle changes in your room that would make a big difference are getting bigger bedside lamps and getting a large statement piece of art or perhaps even a large mirror instead (which would make the space look lighter and brighter too) I'm not sure what your budget is but changing the carpet to a neutral cream or taupe would also help tie the room together. I'd personally dress the window with a simple Roman blind or roller blind a bit bigger than the window as having curtains behind the bed may be a tad difficult to manage? However, if you are in love with the idea of wallpaper, you could always paper three walls first, and based on how you think it looks, either leave it at that or continue with the forth wall.

Hi, your new extension looks great !! What an amazing space you have created ! We love the fresh and subtle tones of the floor tiles. We would suggest to dress your bi-folds doors with unlined wave curtains in a light weight linen mix fabric; you can leave the curtains to move freely along the ceiling fixed track and stack them both on the right side wall when the doors are open. A natural colour will complement the wood effect of the tiles very nicely. We very much look forward to seeing the new kitchen being fitted ! The Pret A Vivre team

Curtains not hanging right. Helpneeded!

You can also fold them, like a concertina, following the way they fall from the header. This is easiest done on the bottom hem while they are still hanging. When finished you should have a very regimented shape with all the folds lining up at the bottom. Tie it all together with material or string (not too tight that it crumples the fabric) then leave it for three days. I was advised to do this for the same problem and it worked for me.
