What colour wall paint will go with this...
Comments (27)Have decided on a pale green by Albany called Seafoam. It is quite light so I can always go darker. Not really into matching bedding fabric to wallpaper but will enjoy picking up the accent colours to be found in the paper as a whole. I remembered today that I actually had a beautiful green on walls of my first studio flat over a decade ago - how could I forget my first love!! Thank you all v.much and yes will update with pics....See MoreWhat colours go with this lampshade?
Comments (25)Laura, there are many papers with navy and white, for example Patara Ikat by Thibaut. https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=Thibaut+Patara+Ikat&biw=1516&bih=839&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0CDAQ7AlqFQoTCNvLqqPElcgCFQJHGgodN5AMBQ&dpr=0.95#imgrc=k2seesvtL05osM%3A I wouldn't recommend breaking up the walls by painting some dark blue, even in just the recesses. Using an overall pattern will give the space interest without making it too dark. You can introduce elements of copper through cushions, lamps, picture frames, etc. If you don't want to use wallpaper, consider stenciling your walls with navy over off-white and including some metallic copper in the stencil design....See MoreWhat colours go with pale blue?
Comments (12)Hi Emma. I love this duck egg blue, its very delicate and so adding in soft tones to match it in different shades would work really well. Sandy colours, gold and cream are still very crisp but work harmoniously with the blue. See the picture for detail. I think you could make the bed a feature with the linen you choose and i would make this a crisp bright white to offset the blue on the wall. Also a large silver mirror and bedside wall lights could create a boutique and luxury kind of feel if thats where you are going with it...Good luck! Would love to see the finished shot. Comments (2)Hi there, do you have any photos of the wardrobe and space? Practicality is one of the main reasons why white or cream isn’t the first carpet colour choice as people are worried it will show up the dirt or stain easily. However these days, it’s possible for a pale carpet to keep its good looks, even in heavy traffic areas. Cormar offers a selection of easy-clean, stain-resistant polypropylene carpets that are even bleach cleanable, which means surface dirt like mud and spills, simply wipes away with a damp cloth. If white or cream still isn’t screaming out practicality, why not choose a silver or grey carpet which can be more sympathetic to spills and stains, especially in an easy clean fibre. Or if you’re feeling bold, why not choose a dark blue or charcoal carpet, play around with contrasting colours in the paintwork, furnishings, and well-chosen accessories for a touch of glamour. You can browse our selection of carpets that are designed to cope with everyday household spills here http://www.cormarcarpets.co.uk/types_easy_clean.php Let us know what you decide!...See MoreNicola Cowan
