Which size of floor tile?

I need to install Gres flooring in an old Mediterranean house the rooms are small. Need to give an illusion of more space by choosing beautiful stone look Gres. However, the tile I like comes in 120 by 60 cm. Are these tiles suitable for rooms which are 4 by 4 metres? Admittedly only the first 2 rooms are this small, the others are slightly larger.

do the tiles only come in 120x60? I am pretty sure 60x60 and 30x60 are available too. Maybe even 45x90cm, 15x60cm and many other format. 4x4m is too small for 120x60cm tiles I reckon. I think you should use something like 30x60cm

Hi, Yeah I'd go just one colour as well as I think it gives a bit more of a modern look. I think greys would look nice. We have a range of matt metro tiles which look really smart and there are some pale grey colours if you were worried a dark grey might be too dark. Happy to help. Your kitchen planner or interior designer will work from industry standard measurements for the height of the counter and where the cupboards should be positioned for the reach of an average person. The gap should be approx 450mm. In kitchens that are already built sometimes it isn't - because the person who built it was crazy or very tall or both. As yours will be from scratch you have the chance to build it so it works ergonomically as well as visually. Something you can check with your designer or planner and take it from there.

Porcelain is a tough tile which will not crack or break easily. they are very long lasting. vinyl is out dated and just doesn't look good. Your other option should be ceramic tiles. So it should be between ceramic and porcelain. I'd still recommend porcelain but ceramic is cheaper, that's the biggest advantage of ceramic. I bought these porcelain tiles two weeks ago, they look lovely. beautiful hexagon porcelain tiles
