Help with cushions!
Im looking for cushion to put on two sofas in my living room. I want the sofa to feel cosy and comfy. That sofa is really old and peeling and I will be covering it up with darkish grey sofa cover.
I'm not sure how many colours is too many and I do love bright colours, patterns and pompoms tassels etc on cushions. What would you put on this sofa?
I can't paint the wall a different colour right now or change the rug. I quite like the art but can get rid if needed. Haven't hung it up yet.
Also.. Do I hang art work centred on the wall or the couch?
I like the mustard/yellow in the rug but would it look too crazy?

4 years agoThat rug is gorgeous. I see you already have a cushion in the aqua, so you could add the yellow too, or the pink to be very daring! I love colour, I have a Persian rug too, but I’m sure others will say to keep it calmer. I really think the picture is lovely too. I’d hang it in the middle of the sofa, not too high, eye level is best. As the rug is quite folksy/boho I think you can go quite colourful with the cushions. Velvet is always nice but you could add a few patterned cushions too. Here’s some images, the last one is a bit out there but I love that look.

Comments (2)Navy and orange are a classic Moroccan mix and look lovely together. I would go with the navy and add some orange to jazz it up, as you already have done. 4 years agoThe aqua one is gorgeous - I vote keep! I have 5 cushions on my large sofa and two on the smaller one, but it’s up to you. I’d go with, say 2 plain, and the rest patterned, but as long as the colours work together that’s the main thing. Don’t worry about an exact match, as long as it is similar. I’ll be honest, cushions give me a headache - I’m never happy with them and I keep changing mine........here’s a designers guide, for what it’s worth.

4 years agoJust some cushions I likes, obviously they're not all gonna go on that one sofa.. I couldn't find the same pom Pom one I had originally! So hard to find pairs that I like.
What shall I put on the 2 seater next to it?
Does the small one look a bit odd? I liked the colours.
