to make or not to make a marble border

i have an open concept reception that is not typically regular, and it is not too big. what are your ideas to add another marble color without making the space look smaller, not belted with a darker border? notice they are too close at the enterance

in the second option, we can use the border right next to wall , probably with z similar color skirting (unlike the one used in shot)

option 3, not using a border at all, use only one light colored marble color
