can anyone tell kitchen work triangle has to be clockwise or anti clockwise

And here are some photos of the other side (the kitchen). We're so happy with the way our kitchen turned out. My husband designed & built most of it. Now I'd like to find a way to tie in the areas & make my living room / dining room look more anchored. I know the bookshelf behind the chaise sofa is pretty awful (& messy!) but it's a space my young kids use to store some of their toys & crafts that they work on while I'm cooking dinner (at the ugly dining table ;)). Any recommendations? I'm so indecisive & hate shopping so I'm always tempted to just get something "temporary" (I.e. Current rug, curtains, rod, bookshelf). I think a sofa table behind the sofa (with lamps?) to separate the living / dining areas would help but I'm afraid it might be tight. I'm open to more permanent rug & curtain suggestions and something (nicer) behind the chaise sofas to separate it from the kitchen. Whew! Sorry for all the questions!

Hi Mark, You've asked for two things - 1. The key to a new shower room is proximity to drainage. Have you considered partitioning off the left of the rear extension and connecting though to the waste in the kitchen? You could narrow the open doorway from kitchen to rear room to give you around a metre width. You'll need extraction to go outside as well, but perhaps this is easy through the side wall, depending on if it is a detached house or not. 2, Open plan could be done either by removing and putting steel beams in place of the wall between living and back room, or alternatively removing the wall between back room and kitchen and reconfiguring the kitchen to an open plan design. You will know better how you use the space, but having the kitchen open to the dining or living space is really popular and "party friendly"! I hope this helps! Alexander Build

For your information, F&B Skimming stone has a Lightness of 85.25 (out of a 100). A Chroma of 6.154, which indicates it is a near neutral. And a Hue Angle of 88.21° So it sits close to the centre of the Yellow Hue Family. Useful if you need to partner it with other near neutrals or even more colourful colours. You can use the geometry of the Wheel to create harmonies. Were you to find that Skimming Stone felt a little to yellow next to your pinkish brick, the strategy would be to find something with a similar Lightness & Chroma, but move the Hue Angle anti-clockwise nearer towards the Yellow-Red Hue Family. But I hope your colour dilemma works out fine & this is knowledge to tuck away until you need it again. 🌈

So, decided against the original Navy blue, and then decided against the greens.......... looking at the original pic, it probably looks like I have not actually painted the walls!!! We had Dulux Chic Shadow for the last 5 years, it had been painted over about 4 layers of wallpaper. All that wallpaper has now been removed and all the holes filled in so walls were ready to get painted but I just couldn't decide. Since our Christmas tree would be arriving in a matter of days, I dug out a 10 litre tub of Johnstones Manhattan grey that was in the garage and just got father in law to do that, it means we are not looking at bare walls over Christmas! And we can paint over after if we decide to! Although its called grey it appears blue sometimes and then sometimes even a bit of green - as well as looking grey sometimes - maybe its just my eyesight!! After all that!

Put three things in a square /rectangle and draw an imaginary line between them you often get a triangle - doesn’t always make it a fab design though! Please do get any home done designs safety checked before you order anything :-)

It doesn't matter, you can choose accordingly to your preference. But usually for interior design people tend to turn right in most countries, and in the UK it would be left side.
