196o's Style Front door

I have a 1961 chalet style house and want to replace the hideous upvc front door with a composite 1960's style, any ideas? Pic attached is when I bought it, the cladding is now cedri-board and black and garage is black

Perhaps something to echo the wood panelling on the front ?

Agree with Jonathan's suggestion. You can also have similar doors with a long slim glazing panel.

Thank you sort our stuff, I think that is why I was having difficulties in deciding what to have as the inside is a complete blank canvas. I think I have settled on the attached as the front door. Undecided on black or blue. I really like some of the modern ones but worried they would look too modern for the house. I will have a glass panel above the door and to its left. Also attached the internal doors I am considering. Thanks again for your response

Hi Vkololgi We think a grey traditional door with narrow glazing bars would look great against your white rendering. It gives a slightly modern twist to the house without looking out of place and will let in lots of light. Good luck with your project and post some photos of the final result when all the work is done.

Thanks for the mock ups A S I wanted a dark blue or grey door. The rendering is due to be painted by the end of this year - going to go for white. I've seen all the different suppliers but I keep changing my mind between the styles. I saw the mock up app on rockdoor but it was only for iPhone.

You’re keeping the inner door? Would the inner door fit on the porch outside area which would keep the outside of the house in the same colour frames/doors and then have something more glass orientated inside so it’s not dark with the porch added. I do think that the dark beams aren’t in keeping with the oak coloured windows and doors though.
