Small bathroom and small ensuite or large bathroom?
Comments (3)From what your describing we had the same thing going on,I didn't like the ensuite( too small) and the bathroom needed to be bigger,so we got rid of the ensuite and put a door between our bedroom and bathroom like a jack and Jill. After a while I felt it just didn't work so we closed up the wall and we now have one big bathroom.im glad we did it now. I too wondered if it would devalue the house and I'm sure if a larger family moved in it could be a bit of a problem, maybe someone from the real estate world will pop in and give you some advice. Good luck with whatever way you choose to go....See MoreBathroom help! Industrial / contemporary look
Comments (8)Hi. If you want a factory feel I think I would be looking at a freestanding cast iron or copper bath. I'd tile the whole wall in either brick effect tiles or metro tiles. If you go metro tiles I'd probably add a darker border. This may be a bit of a splurge but I would try and get a factory style shower screen. The images are from decoist, flor and peppermint bliss. If you like these try either a local glazier, may need one anyway!, or there are a number of bespoke companies online so would email a pic for a quote. With a free standing bath you are going to have to either move the loo up for the taps or see what can be done with the recess, preferably I'd remove the shelf in the recess as it can't all be hiding plumbing. What is the wall cupboard at the end of the bath? It also looks as if you have a big cupboard in the bathroom? If so, I would be looking at a wooden or metal console with a freestanding basin, if you shop around, you can get them cheaply. If you don't have other storage, maybe save money and paint the existing unit but update the taps. If you don't go for the shower screen then add a factory style mirror and some industriał pendants hanging down....See More3 bed + bathroom downstairs or 2 bed + bathroom upstairs?
Comments (22)Front hallway- I say save your money leave it up. Cost of removal is minor but you will likely have to move radiators and electrics and make good plasterwork and coving- I say protect another £1500 profit. Present the larger back reception as a living room and present the front reception as the dining room. Given that the bathroom is likely to go upstairs make the downstairs bathroom into a room to access the garden- I would present the kitchen as a kitchen/breakfast room with doors to see the garden as being able to see from the front door to the back garden should pay dividend....See MoreBathroom help design 8x8 64 square feet bathroom
