Need advice for carpet colour on my stairs please - 1930s traditional
Comments (43)hi all, update is I have finally found a photo of someones stairs done in Brintons timorous beastie yellow Ruskin butterfly and its made me decide we are definitely 100% going for this as I love it (see attached pics) on stairs and landing... Floor in hall will be oak herringbone parquet, just wall colour to decide and we have bought new tall skirting so colour to paint this also? i have attcahed apic of the hall currently so you can see our front door with stain glass.. As Ive mentioned before the banister and spindles will be replaces with square spindles with an oak top banister and oak end cap - similar to this houzz pic ... So just to deicide on wall colour and new skirting colour... I really like f&b light blue in a hall with oak parquet but I don't feel this will go with the carpet... Kitchen and dining room will be one of the sage shades and lounge Wimborne white and downpipe......See MoreWhite grout or Dove Gray grout ? Help! Need advice asap
Comments (1)I’d say white for the walls but definitely grey for the floor. Contrast can be achieved with towels and green leafy plants....See MoreHelp with worktop colour and general colour advice please.
Comments (6)My kitchen is painted a duck egg blue too. I have cream units, oak worktops and a white ceramic sink. I agree with colourhappy to get the kitchen fitted, fit the worktop and sink then look at painting the walls, although your wall colour is soft and will probably go well. I’d go for a white worktop, with veining if you want some pattern, then go for a white sink. Black just wouldn’t go with the soft colours and they never look clean, especially if you have hard water. Although I love my duck egg walls I’m going to paint them F&B Oval Room Blue, which is a darker version. Just fancy a change! This is a corner of my kitchen....See Moreadvice on wall colours please
Comments (12)I think a pale green would go nicely with everything in the room, maybe a sage green like Mizzle or Cromarty, or a more moss green like Lichen (all by Farrow & Ball). First pic is Mizzle, second pic is Lichen. Of course other brands are available!...See MoreOnePlan
