Help with uploading plans please.

I have a couple of bathroom plans saved on my laptop as PDFs. They were created in Exel. I can´t seem to upload them onto here. I can upload photos but not the plans. Can anyone explain, simply, how to upload them please?

What I often find easiest is to take a screen shot on the laptop to turn it into a photo and then upload

Hi. I mean the wall with the utility door. I see where you are going with the symmetry for the wall with the aga, but I would make that tall end unit a pantry or place for serving plates, etc. and have the integrated fridge where you currently have the wood upper cabinet. I've been looking at your Ideabook and reading the aga discussion (I'm way behind minnie!) and I see what you are trying to achieve. But none of them have the same layout. When the feature aga corbel wall exists, it doesn't have an induction hob right next to it or it doesn't have a solid wall at the end (one of them is amazing with their deep cupboards either side but there is nowhere to put anything!). Do you have roof lights over the kitchen? Unless you have a giant lantern skylight and lots of under-cabinet lighting planned, please don't have black countertops. Apart from the fact that none of the kitchens in your Ideabook have dark counters, I come from a place of experience. I used to have a massive, terribly planned, kitchen with lovely black granite counters. Not only could only one person work in it even though it was the size of a dance floor, but the lights had to be on all the time and it was really depressing. And as there will be a dining table nearby to take in your beautiful garden, the island perches will be there to keep the cook(s) company, so facing in on the kitchen is perfect.

I think this might be the quickest/cheapest option. Assuming the space is big enough and is constructed in the same manner as the rest of the house (not single skin like a garage etc). Remove the door and replace with a window then build a wall to separate from the kitchen. Couple of days work plus decorating time.

Given the orientation of your plot, I'd suggest the proposed footprint is wrong. If you lose the single storey part and instead extend beyond your double storey extension with a single storey you create a southerly aspect. Single storey further than 4m is unlikely to worry planning - my 7m passed without comment. It's two storey bits where 4m matters. If you extend like that, how about kitchen where your architect put dining, and add a utility beside where the loo is shown - juggle it about a bit if you can to use the existing doorway and either access the loo via the utility or have a small inner hall with access to both.

Hey Bas, Congratulations on your new home. I think it is really important to consider what do you actually need/want and go from there. I will ask you a few questions that might help to get you thinking. Do you need/want a large kitchen with island and plenty of space to cook? Or do you just need a very basic spec kitchen? Do you have people over and socialise a lot - do you need a dining table or are you not that bothered? What do you do to relax do you watch tv/read/listen to music/play music - then you will know you need a good sofa space if you watch tv or if you need a nice corner nook with plenty of space for books? Are you a muddy boots family or do you just need somewhere really simple to wash/dry your clothes? Do you work from home? with lots of storage space for papers or is it computer work and a simple desk would work just fine? Once you've gotten to the bottom of the space you need you can consider your budget, how much do you have to renovate can you afford to start knocking down all the internal walls and potentially extending or do you need to be smart with the space that you have.
