Recommendations please contract administrator or not on a new build?
Comments (0)We are building a new home, have planning, have chosen our contractor but are in two minds - get a contract administrator or not. We have been quoted between £8k and £10k for monthly certifications, the odd architects instruction for variations to the contract, monthly inspections, the odd bit of design work and coordination as it crops up. We are already on a v tight budget so would rather not but feel with our lack of building experience it is probably good practise? Or if we keep a close eye on everything can we do the same job and save ourselves a decent wedge of cash?...See MoreHandyman in MK!! Any recommendations please!
Comments (1)If you are on Facebook there are many local town pages where people ask for recommendations. I’ve found several tradesmen and repairmen that way. If you’re not on FB there is an App called NextDoor where you can connect with neighbours and ask there?...See Morestairs recommendation please
Comments (2)Hi sorry I have been away for a while. Our house is being built from scratch and overall a contemporary look I would say. However The stairs will have carpet but not sure about anything else like banister etc. Would live steel, just not the traditional wood but it seems very expensive....See MorePink paint shades for toddler’s room please...
Comments (4)I had this dilemma a couple of years ago for my daughters room... I wanted dusky pink - bit like in the picture. I couldn’t find anything, so I’m the end took a curtain to b&q to colour match a piece of pattern. To be honest it turned out quite a bold purpley pink, not dusky as I hoped. I’m used to it now and it isn’t a baby colour... good luck finding one...See Morecolourhappy
