How do I make my bookcase less boring?
Comments (27)For me the trick is defiantly positioning lay some down and stand some up, add some personal decorative pieces to break up the books Play with height and groupings of things maybe put something tall with 2 smaller things add some pictures or even those little boards with sayings on. Mostly though I think it's important too add some beautiful things that mean something to you and incorporate them with your books....See MoreSmall kitchen ideas
Comments (8)Hello, If you have got a Dining Room area already, try not to load in more, especially not a sofa. Maybe you could have a Breakfast bar installed but again, if you have other place where you can sit down and enjoy your meal than is no point to take more space of a tiny kitchen. You should rather have it functional. Since you don't have a big space, try to pick light colours, like white, beige, yellow, light blues or greys.. Also, adding mirrors is an other good idea to make your Kitchen look more spacious and lighter. I collected some images for you as you said you like rustic, mediterranean or contemporary style. Have you thought of maybe combining two different styles? I personally like a mix of traditional or retro and contemporary style. I would suggest you to add some colours to your space and don't make it look boring. On these images you will also see some lovely worktops that would go for rustic or mediterranean style. You could consider getting wooden cabinets in white rustic style, even baby blue would look gorgeous. If you are going to have a contemporary style kitchen you could get a coloured glass panel splashback and some ornaments in the same colour. Maybe you could also think of some led light installation under the cabinet? It can look truly amazing! Good luck with your Project! Comments (10)I don’t want to pour cold water on your plans but the soil pipe position dictates the location of your wc. You can get a macerator to allow a different wc location (I have had them with no problems) but they are quite unpopular on this site. I also feel that you are getting rid of the small wc only to make the shower room feel cramped. You should also check with an estate agent that the local market doesn’t demand a bath because you don’t want to cause problems on resale. As far as the open plan thing goes your open to the hallway plan won’t be allowed in anything other than a ground floor flat because of fire regs as you need a safe escape from bedrooms. I have an alternative suggestion which is to make the kitchen a shade smaller, make the WC bigger and add a laundry cupboard next to the wc. Of course any changes require budget. Do you have one in mind?...See MoreSmall cloakroom/w.c tiles/decor
Comments (7)Hi when I was searching for tiles I saw the tile you have chosen complimented with metro tiles in quite a few different websites. You could do half wall in metro tiles perhaps then a nice mirror above the sink? Just a thought 😊...See MoreGail Valentine
