GLAZED POCKET DOORS
Comments (8)Hi, I managed to find out that the company who manufactured the doors in the photograph I referenced are in Bermondsey. They are called West Leigh Ltd. and the guy I spoke to is David Cox (tel. 020 7232 0030). We haven't actually commissioned the doors yet, but hope to do so in the next few months. Best wishes, Sam...See Morecustomised fire proof pocket doors
Comments (3)Look on the LPD Door website or J B Kind. Both do pocket doors but not too sure about fire doors although they’re both major UK suppliers so should sell them. Both are trade only suppliers but they will advise of a dealer in your area....See MoreTall larder and corner unit with pocket doors
Comments (10)From the picture, it looks like to me that larder was made up from a few standard components ...eg the 3 sets of drawers are probably 40cm wide, shallow depth base units, (such as Ikea’s 37cm deep Metod unit), plus a sink unit, and the top is made up of 3 similarly standard wall units without doors. The outer full size cabinet doors look like just standard tall cabinet doors set on sliding door pivot hinges. It’s just the way they have put them together that is “bespoke”, and that’s down to the designer and fitter. Hopefully that helps....See MoreHow can you use redundant space
Comments (14)Thank you all for your insights. As I mentioned, I really love your ideas, Bette. You did get me thinking and I now feel that the only way I could proceed would be to transform the garage into a dining room which would give me the open plan kitchen/ diner as I always wanted; and to use current living room as storage / garage instead. I'm not sure if it is a good idea to get rid of the garage, although we don't currently use it for it's intended purpose so maybe? Thank you all for considering the dog, too :) He seems much happier on the sofa or on bed so I am not overly concerned about him losing his 'chill out' zone :) Let me know what you think about my new plan? (due to limited choice I could not plan furniture layout, but I would be getting new one anyways, so I'd leave design to professionals). P.S. Thank you, Kathy for your contribution. However, as it currently stands I cannot use current redundant space as utility room as it is between the kitchen and living/ dining room so I don't believe it would be very practical....See MoreBrayer Design
