Comments (9)Hi there.. Looks like a great project ... And a great size room.. So if the room is south facing that means light... Maybe lots of it.? So dark furniture. Light to medium walls.. Soft whites, greys maybe a follow through from what you may have existing in your home.. But some vibrant fabrics to lift the colours.. Yellow or mustard. Bright and sunny oranges, reds. This can be used in the throws, bedding, cushions. Art work.. Then whenever you fancy a change.. It's easy and not as costly.. That way you will have plenty of space when guests aren't staying Also to instantly update the room you could have wooden floor boards (do you have good ones under the carpet? Put a large square rug down. Have shelving put into the alcove to provide ample storage Put a large mirror above the fire place, and dress it to show off the lovely fire surround.
