Living room layout - would love some advice
Comments (7)So since I posted about 6 weeks ago we now have a lovely wooden floor, fire has been removed and left chimney breast with cables available so we can mount the TV. Have our old sofas sat side by side under the window but still not sure how to plan it all out. Hopefully once painted and we start visiting some furniture shops the rest will just fall into place :) thanks all for comments, would welcome any ideas...See MoreLiving Room Advice
Comments (4)Hi Paul. I think they work as the colours are soft. I would swap the tartan and chevron cushion around though on the love seat and also add a solid colour cushion. Why not try both of the sofas at right angles to the fire with the loveseat opposite the fire so you can hang the tv above that. Pull the sofa away from the bay and put the console table behind it with a table lamp etc, If you're wanting to add colour I'd go for a shade of purple for a textured rug then maybe add a couple of yellow accessories which work reallywell with purple. If the mirror fits (?) I'd hang it over the fire, if not on the wall opposite the window....See MoreToo many patterns in living room? Advice please!
Comments (13)Wow thanks so much for all of the comments - much appreciated. I think I liked the wallpaper I posted so much that I allowed it to cloud my vision of what would work! I think I am going to stick with painting the walls and putting up some midcentury style pictures. Perhaps when someone eventually spills something on the ottoman I'll get rid of the geometric theme and replace it with Orla Kiely patterns! The larger stem wallpaper is a good idea although having seen a sample I think the pattern feels too big for my living area. I might put some wallpaper up elsewhere....See MoreFirst house , need advice for room & living room
Comments (3)Just look through Houzz to decide what style you want to go for. Also, make sure your furniture is the right size and there is space for it....See MoreMarina Drobot at Cinnamon Space
