Handle less kitchen unit for integrated fridge and freezer
Comments (15)The statement is unfounded. It is possible to achieve integrated appliance with handleless doors on the most basic of ranges. More expensive furniture showrooms will add the benefit of being able to open at the side, by introducing an infill panel. I also believe some appliance manufacturers are now introducing touch opening fridges and freezers. I would be very wary of continuing with this designer for fear that they may be railroading you into options that suit them....See MoreFine tuning of kitchen plan - advice please

Comments (4)Hi, I've had handles and I now have handleless and I most certainly do prefer the units without handles, not only is it one less thing to clean but you can wipe down in a single motion without having to get around the handle. If you would like handles, I'd look at the slim (profile??) handles which are fitted at the top of cabinets. I think these are timeless designs. With regards to splashback, I'm not a fan of tiling, and I think it does date a kitchen but that is down to you. I'd prefer either a glass splashback, if it's a wood effect/marbled work top, using the same effect as splashback or upstand and paint. which you select depends on the finish you would like to achieve. Comments (5)Oh dear - that’s one way - but not the only way ! If you choose a handle that comes in small, medium and large then you can mix them - ask for print outs of elevations to scale - then try the different handle sizes drawn onto tracing paper over the top - or draw them in pencil etc ... you will be living with this for a long time - it’s worth a bit of time now to get it right ! Nb. The handles don’t have to be the same even - as long as they are the same finish - I have knobs, cup handles and two sizes of grab handles on my own kitchen - and it looks great (IMO) ....See MoreRibena Drinker
