Professional spray painting kitchen cupboards?
Comments (1)I haven't used them yet but have heard lots of good things about http://m.onestop-refinishers.co.uk/ Although based in north they travel, they use only Farrow and Ball & Little Greene paints....See MoreReusing the existing kitchen cupboards
Comments (29)Hi , We are using both colours ...I prefer dark ,hubby prefers light . But both look good so we are leaving the units as they are .just need to change flooring and we are done . It was worth the effort though at the time I was regretting starting the project but the paint and Handle changes have made such a difference to the room. All for about 100 pounds :-) It's worth the time and effort and more satisfying because we have done the work ourselves....See MoreWhat’s the best/ safest oil to use inside wooden kitchen cupboards?
Comments (2)For our real wood worktops in our utility and a butchers block, we've used Skydd oil from Ikea which is suitable for food prep areas. https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/products/tools-fittings/oil-stains-product-care/skydd-wood-treatment-oil-indoor-use-art-00046786/...See MoreStandard carcasses plus custom doors
Comments (10)The original kitchen was quite cheap (can’t remember exactly, but I designed my extension to be 5.8m long with the kitchen in one long line. This mean that that I have 4 x 600mm units either side of a 1m long range. I went for plain cupboards to keep costs down - no fiddly extras! At the time, I couldn’t afford an “in-frame” design. When it came to the make-over, I priced up new replacement doors with companies like Dream Doors (nightmare - after spending an entire morning in their showroom, they refused to come out when I said my budget was under £5k!!!). I also liked Naked Doors and Shaker Doors online. They were pricey though... in the end I thought I’d bite the bullet and buy the doors from someone on Etsy. I think it was going to be about £2k. I then found a carpenter to get a price for fitting the doors. When I explained what I wanted, he said to forget the doors and he would make entire new fronts. Painted and fitted, it came in under £1.5k, which I thought was a bargain!!! Depending on where you are, I can highly recommend him. (I’m in the East Midlands). When I spoke to him, he said he did entire kitchens from start to finish for a very reasonable price. I’m sure with a bit of googling, you could find someone local... where are you based?...See MoreJuliet Docherty
