Help with staircase carpet colour

Two flights of stairs and landing - wall colour is F&B skimming stone which appears greige on our walls - not sure whether to go for flecked or plain loop carpet - on the first flight of stairs the carpet will be fitted as a stair runner with taping -not sure if that would look strange with flecked carpet or not?Help?!

I personally think the far right sample with the fleck would look great, it would compliment the wall colour perfectly. When having a stair runner I always think it should be a statement piece so it adds contrast.

I am also choosing stair carpet right now! Carpet sample hell. I’m having flecked for sure so it won’t show the dirt. I can’t comment on yours as I can’t see it next to the wall colour

@Sanah - rubbish at internet stuff but you can see the entire range of Nourison's Mondrian Runners at theRUGSELLER.co.uk where mine are. About 8 different patterns including stripes. Mine is code MON66 and £89, but I can't seem to find it online. Interestingly the range is not on Nourison's own main website. Maybe discontinued. There are larger hall runners, rugs and circular rugs too. Good luck

Having white paint underneath the red/stone carpet will make a huge difference. Just like the picture you have provided, you can see their use of white paint underneath. This gives it a very modern feel and makes the space feel brighter. Even have a look at this image of these stairs, the way they have painted the entire place white (including the railing on the stairs) and kept the orange carpet on the stairs only, is a beautiful way to bring colour into the space.

I like the one on the right the best too!
Just a quick question... do you have cats? We do - and we have a gorgeous striped loop carpet on our stairs. Sadly it is now one giant scratching post!! We’ve had looped in the bedrooms for years and they have been fine - but the stairs are a completely different matter!!!

They are all nice, but I would paint Skimming Stone on some card and then take that with you when viewing carpets. It doesn’t have to match, just be a similar tone. That will soon help you decide.
