Hello Thank you! The darker wall colour is Farrow and Ball, Worsted, the lighter Farrow and Ball, Skimming Stone. The pendant is Roll and Hill. CLI

So about that toilet! It is a kit bashed piece. The bowl is old, most likely twenties, the tank new...and the connection to the plumbing is scary! Salvage pieces are available to match the age of your home...but a low flow modern toilet in a style you like would be better? Another issue I see is the strange stand off concrete or mortar bed that elevates the toilet. I suspect that there was a raised floor of some kind in the WC, that the sewer pipe is above the line of the existing floor and needs to be reworked for a new toilet. While he is doing that the plumber can re-route the toilet water supply to the proper place for the toilet you select. Best of luck! Hope your landlord will approve of the change!

I tried colour matching various f&b shades with Valspar professional , some of which B&Q even had a 'recipe' for, but none of them really came close. I ended up buying mainly with Valspar's own professional paint (primer & paint in one) & loved the durable, scrubbable, finished result. They have a fab colour range too & their colour cards are a good size & absolutely spot on to the painted colour. (If you cannot see a swatch of colour that you like, they have an additional enormous swatch book under the counter. Their tester pots are brilliant value for money & a good size too. I also bought Dulux & Crown on the 2 for £22 offer which is unbeatable if on a tight budget!

Hi Suzie, could you perhaps do something a bit out of the box and choose something that is a splash of colour? Like a found object? Chinese ceramic stools? you can also go to vintage fairs etc. Or some companies source and stock interesting pieces. This is one : http://www.retrouvius.com/stock/storage I think more grey would be dull, more black would indeed make the room feel too small. I quite like the idea of timber for your chest of drawers etc. Difficult to visualise the space thought! Colour choice is pretty personal. I am partial to blues and purples.. but that is just me! Dear All Thank you for your advice! In the end I didn't go with any suggestion!! But, possibly went very predictable and chose to go grey (naturally) a bit like my hair!!!!! I did appreciate and consider everyone's advice and did use a Dulux App to try and see what the room would look like with all your suggestions. (App was not very useful though!) Anyway, I thought you all might like to see my newly revamped lounge! Thank you.
