Christmas tree time!!
Comments (64)We have a fake tree that my husband bought for £20 in the Woolworths closing down sale over a decade ago when our real one shed 90% of its needles within 24 hours of us buying it. This tree has seen us through 2 children and 3 cats; only one of which climbed it as a kitten. It’s thinning and requires lots of fluffing and padding out each year but we love it and it’s covered in ornaments from every year and everywhere....See MoreWhat chairs to go with these outdoor sofas
Comments (39)Aww thank you darling, yes its getting there now :), I was gonna say the same thing as Gabby, TKMaxx has some lovely ones in stock now. You can shop online if you do not have a store near. I love these orange ones and they have same in these colours but reversed. However lots to choose and prices are good. https://www.tkmaxx.com/home/outdoor-entertaining/two-pack-orange-spotted-cushions-51x51cm/p/61559264...See MoreArt Gallery Style TV
Comments (50)I’ve disliked the black tv for decades, and wondered why the frame was usually black. We did have a white Sony tv in the 80s, though the off screen was still black... My solution was to make a felt ‘painting’, on a wooden rod, and drape it over the tv when off at the mains. I also painted a piece of paper to do the same. As I always turn the tv off at the mains when it’s not being watched, it’s perfectly safe. They’re still very ugly items, but maybe one day they’ll simply be a small gadget projecting the picture onto a wall space....See MoreVictorian terrace layout - creating inner courtyard in side return?
Comments (17)Hi @Hannah, sorry for slow reply. After discussing with builders have decided not to do full width extension at the back. Timings/builder availability/costs/drainage issues etc have meant it's far easier & cheaper to stick with much simpler add-on rear extension instead. Not what I really wanted to do but it's not going to be our forever home, so trying to be pragmatic about it! But still plan to use side return space as small courtyard / green space accessed from dining room. Good luck with yours if you do it!...See MoreSam Potter
