Comments (3220)Hey everyone! Good to hear from you all again. We have 2 wks before we go back to school. It's been a busy summer but good. My boy (14) is in marching band and they've been practicing all summer for the fall football games. He is worn out. My girl has been playing with friends and is doing a bit of a room redo herself (she is 10). Nice to see you all are well. We took a weekend a bit ago to Chincoteague VA and it was great! Hopping over to visit the corridor thread now....See MoreDecorator refused to wallpaper our room - please help
Comments (92)I love Josette wallpaper. I used it on my chimney breast in my old bedroom. Loved it so much, another shade went up under the dado up the stairs and in the hall in my house too. We then moved and we have it now in our new bedroom in yet another shade! I put the paper up in my old bedroom. It’s tricky but not the worst paper I have ever hung....See MoreURGENT white & navy paint names needed for north facing room
Comments (43)Hi Tani. Mmmm. Mixing colours by hand can be tricky in large quantities which is why I suggested taking a small sample of your existing paint first and and seeing how other colours change it. For sampling you can use any acrylic paint (acrylic has similar properties to emulsion) as you’re just trying to identify which colour you need for mixing, could be other tester pots, kids acrylic paints, artists acrylics etc. but when doing the final mix I would use the same brand and finish paint. In theory (and from memory) to make a dark navy blue lighter and warmer you’d need more of a dirty peach colour then add this to the navy at approx 1 part peach to 10 navy then add more if needed. All a matter of trying and testing. Having said all this it may be possible to sell the paint you have now (after all navy is popular atm) and get another colour....See MoreMy downstairs loo needs help!
Comments (22)I know, I hate having a horrible garden! Ah,thank you 😊 I must admit I’m avoiding the garden atm, it’s a slug fest, my husband has to frisk the dog every time she comes in as she’s brought in a couple on her coat 🤢 Ah ok, I’m not sure of the shortest projection, I know 650 is easy to get, but if you went for a 450 deep sink by whatever wide that should be do’able. Another option is the loo in the corner and have them both on the same wall, should gain 130mm standing room (?]. Can the mop not stay in the hall or do you want that storage for coats etc? (or can you buy folding mops??) 😂 it will be nice to have something pretty at the end of the hall I agree although it is a very nice vanity! hmmm, you’ve actually caught me mid decor 😂 The stairs are being painted next week and adding a runner (or saving for), new lights on order, looking for new bench etc as will move that one elsewhere...See MoreSonia
