Hi Carolyn. This vanity is completely bespoke made from one block of calcatta oro marble.

Hi. I think you need at least 3ft gap between the table and wall, more if it's an entrance/corridor etc. If you move the table towards the fire it obviously means moving the rug, sorry to state the obvious!, and I think you'd need 12-18 inches gap between the fire and rug for it to work. Maybe try moving it and then measure the gap the other side

Hello Crittee I agree with Sort our Stuff - The centre of the mirror should be positioned at eye level. As people's height varies, I have always had them installed for clients so the centre of the mirror is 1.5mts from the floor. Sometimes on a console table it looks best to have it slightly closer to the table. Here's a few interesting ideas from West Elm. What is the length of your console? If it's around 100cm to 120cm then a 76cm mirror would work. I''d prefer a group of mirrors like this below. The gold frames would work well with your timber work. Maybe your lamp is a little small for this table and a group of vases or ceramics would look better. Or add a round mirror like these two examples not rectangular. Plus add a collection of vases or ceramics if you like a splash of colour as a highlight

Hello Rikita, Have you considered leaving the sink where it is on the island and then having a bigger island that morphs into a dining area... There are many more interesting designs for islands that are much more than a box with a few cupboards.. The sink situation currently I feel you would find more useful for preparation/washing and in addition a bigger island with dining could be fantastic.. Having that run of four cabinetry along under the opposite window wall from the corner as mentioned already could be of further benefit. Or consider a double height larder cupboard.. for food storage. So here are a few ideas about the island morphing into dining table.. Either cantilever or split level in either linear or other arrangements.. Hopefully gives you an idea of how creative you can be : )) This one works with the architecture of the space it's in.. The narrow nature of the room suggests a linear configuration. So look spatially at the kitchen area but the idea can be applied in many ways to fit the room so going outwards widthways towards the hand drawn pictured dining table.. You can then have dining chairs or integrate a bar stool seating area.. So really making the most of the idea of an island.. With a meter clearance from cooking area there is a lot more space in the room that can be used..

Lots to consider here ! But the way we work is to include the whole space in the drawing - i.e. Seating area too in the rest of the room as it has an impact and might be useful ! Kitchens are a large investment - it might be worth bringing in a concept planner like us ( we don't sell products ) to work with you to get the design just right - then go to places like benchmark /howdens/wicks/ etc etc to price and compare like for like ! We charge about the same as a good dishwasher costs to design a room like this ! You will save that much and more by shopping around - and the difference for you, living with it for the next 10 years, having it work better as it was designed specifically for you is worth that much at least !!
