What colour curtains and bedding for new bedroom?

I have just totally stripped and remodeled our bedroom but we're struggling to find what works best with colour curtains and bedding. Walls dusky pink and wardrobe dark blue. I’m a great fan of white bedding. You can then dress the bed with a mixture of navy, pink and grey cushions and a throw at the bottom of the bed, I’m also a fan of plain curtains toning with your walls, so you could match them or go for a soft blush pink. If you want a plush look then velvet would be lovely but if you prefer a more natural, pared back look then linen-cotton mix would work. Here’s some inspo pics:

I would also go for white bedding but with a bold pattern. For curtains I'd also go for linen, maybe something like the bed head to break up the walls a bit.. I liked this bedside cabinet from John Lewis (2nd pic) but it seemed to clash with the headboard but maybe you can find similar or cheaper ones like I've shown that you can paint in the same navy. I thought a pendant swagged over the bed could look nice? Perhaps add a brass mirror/s between the door and radiator?

Hi Suzie, could you perhaps do something a bit out of the box and choose something that is a splash of colour? Like a found object? Chinese ceramic stools? you can also go to vintage fairs etc. Or some companies source and stock interesting pieces. This is one : http://www.retrouvius.com/stock/storage I think more grey would be dull, more black would indeed make the room feel too small. I quite like the idea of timber for your chest of drawers etc. Difficult to visualise the space thought! Colour choice is pretty personal. I am partial to blues and purples.. but that is just me! Hi there, I have a Paint and Window-dressings dilemma. We have a black leather King Bed, a wall of black mirrored wardrobes and matching black mirrored dresser, from Joop. contemporary and bedding also contemporary. We have a full wall of windows which I need to choose curtains/blinds/? for and paint colour too. I like the idea of black/white/grey perhaps some colour but not walls of a bright colour, I'd like a more elegant feel. Love to hear any suggestions!

Hi I am redecoting my daughters bedroom for her birthday on Thursday. This isn't the bedding that will be staying on, ordered two different sets so want some plain curtains so it looks good with both bedding! I have bought a white blackout blind which hasnt arrived yet (can return if ur opinions tell me otherwise on this!) can someone help me find links of what curtains /voile will look good? As you have a few different colours it would be good to find either a patterned bed linen that incorporates these colours or perhaps just a crisp white bed linen and some cushions in pink, blue and gold to sit as finishing touches to pull it all together. Good luck,

I agree with Sonia, I feel white bedding here will work very nicely as you have two beautiful colours working already. The white is simplistic, modern and clean and will enhance the pink and blue and also match well with the skirting boards.
