Need help with the location of cooker in my new kitchen
Comments (27)I think that sofa shape will not suit your new space very well...but slow down and dream!rome wasn't built in a day!i would work on the kitchen plan...forget about the sofa.the kitchen is permanent...the sofa or location of sofa is not!...Kitchen...function first, then form.If you are not planning on this being your forever home...then don't spent money on moving the boiler, or plumbing or electrics as much as possible (unless there are huge gains to be had in terms of function). Also I think you'll be surprised how much more room there actually is once that wall comes down.I vote to keep the breakfast bar as I think it will really define the space....See MoreNeed help for my new kitchen
Comments (3)Hi Fabrizia, Congratulations on your new purchase! I hope completion goes well. We have designed quite a few compact size kitchens, please see some examples on our website under resent installations. If starting from left to right, I would suggest to start with integrated Fridge Freezer, after that 450mm wide pan drawers with internal cutlery drawer, next would be Hob and Oven, Integrated Dishwasher 450mm wide, slim line one. Then continue with Corner unit for sink and integrated Washer Dryer. This way all your plumbing could stay on the same run. Also, the Microwave could be integrated in the wall unit. This would give you more worktop space. As the space is a little dark, make sure that you have LED Spot lights recessed under wall units. In order to gain some additional storage you could have double height wall units going all the way up to the ceiling. Hope this helps! Please let us know how you get on. Comments (6)Marble would still work well in all those areas - luxurious and dramatic! A couple of points to take care with: - Take care if you're option for high gloss, as they can be slippery when wet - If you're opting for a very "white" marble (Carrara or some such), be prepared for it to show every dirty mark and need regular cleaning. If your lifestye can cope with this great - if you have three labrodors and live in a pair of Hunter wellies, I'd urge caution.......See MoreHelp...what colour scheme for my new kitchen?
Comments (7)Hi Lucy. The kitchen looks quite a grey blue on my screen. I would go for a copper kettle and toaster. Also brighten the worktop by adding potted herbs and some wooden boards. I would then look at shades of orange, coral, terracotta or blush for either chairs or cushions for the chairs. I think an orangey tan leather would also work as would a copper chair. I might go for a sisal rug to add some texture and lighten the floor a little, you can get ones with both honey and grey tones in or instead add pattern (depending on chair choice). I'd also add a large potted plant in the corner by the bay and utility. Art with blues in and a touch of an orangey colour too....See MoreSonia
