Paint colour dilemma

We are having the utility room refurbished with white units, white/pale grey marble-effect work tops and appliances and I was thinking of painting the walls in Pale Hound, Farrow & Ball. When I mentioned this to my daughter, she said that this would not be a good colour - she used it once in a north facing lounge and disliked it. The utility room is quite dark and needs lights on even during the day. I want a shade which is pale yellow, but not too creamy, sickly or insipid. Has anyone used this shade in an otherwise dark room?
