Comments (2)Ah, the joys of fitting extractors around beams etc! As suggested, I'd consider looking at alternative extractors (BEST/Elica/Luxair) to see if any might work better with your layout. Alternatively, dropping the ceiling above the entirety of the island could be made into an attractive feature. flat ducting may also help, but be aware there may be a reduction in efficiency of the unit. Comments (3)There isn't room for a floor lamp, unfortunately, as I think this could look quite good. There are already wall lamps but they don't give off much light - more like a wall-wash, if you follow; so it needs something overhead as well. I'm changing the carpet for a lighter colour and painting the walls winter white instead of a deeper cream, which should also help....See MoreTino Baricic
