what height should overhead shower be?

Got a concealed rainfall shower being put in over bath how high should this be? We'll be centring it on the back wall

We have a rainfall shower and we had it fitted a few inches above my husbands head! 😊

I think a more modern style of country lamp would look really wonderful here over a seating area or coffee table. Something like this might suit. I wouldn't go with something too 'heavy' or 'antique' looking: the fireplace is a lovely feature unto itself. There are loads of variations of this kind of lamp if this isn't your style. It does matter of course what the lighting in the kitchen looks like as they should compliment each other rather than fight against each other in an open space, but don't need to 'match'. A glass wall that doesn't move is going to be a nightmare. It gives no flexibility for cleaning - you'll have to get into the bath to clean that shelf, the taps and the bath as well as the inside of the glass. Perhaps this glass door swings and it's just a clever photo? As for the taps, they really do need to be on a different wall so you can turn them on before getting under the shower - having them on a side wall is better than having them on the back wall. I reckon you'd bump into them all the time, turning them on or off accidentally, if they were on the back wall. When I installed my shower room, I decided against glass and built a wall instead, tiled on the inside and painted on the outside. If you get the lighting right, it doesn't matter that it's a wall that doesn't let light in; you don't need daylight to wash, you just need light! And the tiles are much more forgiving in terms of cleaning than glass is. I realise this might not work for you if you are having an over the bath shower though, if you have room for a shower room and a bathroom you might not need one over the bath?

Move the stud wall over 5cms, so a 100cm wide 80cm deep pan will fit in. Still I find it very peculiar to have a shower only somewhere in a house, though I guess you have your reasons for it. :)

2 meters off the floor? Our oldest son is exactly 2m tall :-)

When he stays over he is forever sliding our shower head up to his preferred height, which is ‘slightly’ higher than ours. :-)
