bathroom tiles and wallpaper- Help!

Hi everyone,
I’m about to order tiles and wallpaper and I’m second guessing myself. The floor tiles will be a light grey with a brown undertone (right side of the first picture) and the walls will be a vanilla with a rough stone finish (left side of the first picture). I want to add a bit of polish and ‘sophistication’ by using one of the wallpapers below on 1/2 of 2 walls. So, the top half would wallpaper and the bottom half would be vanilla stone. I’m looking for opinions. Will this work? Should I find a different style of wallpaper? X Many thanks!

Will it be a full bathroom or just a loo? As I would not paper a bathroom where steam and moist is involved. And to answer your question: The top wallpaper would be lovely and romantic with small 10x10cm tiles. The bottom one looks more modern and would go with the tiles, I guess (hard to tell if colors match from a photo).

I like both the tiles and wallpaper however you do tend to see wallpaper with panelling or small tiles. Wh such large format tiles ( and given the texture) I'm wondering if it would be better to go for something like the 1st option (think this is also textured) or a form of geometric? I know this is shown with panelling but i think a form of geometric paper would work.

It would however be good to see what else is going in the room

Hi Ffion, I have to agree with Thelma Henry Interiors. Use a large format wall tile, even 450 x 900 to have as few grout lines as possible. Porcelanosa do several pale grey tiles, Rodano Acero 80 x 80 cm, Nápoles 44 x 66 cm, and others. Paint an "old" white above to match the white of your floor tile. Make sure there's enough contrast between the paint colour and the white of the sanitary ware to avoid having the walls look dirty. Hope that's useful.

Bathroom wallpaper or self adhesive tiles

Rasch wallpapers do a couple of designs with the scallop shape (see pics). I personally wouldn’t go for self adhesive tiles as I think cleaning them would be a nightmare. There are plenty of ceramic tiles in this shape tho. Stenciling could be another option if you’re on a budget, plenty of pre-made stencils in this style. Minnie, This photo may be more accurate - I’ve propped them up as best I can on the bath (current bath to be replaced with claw-foot roll top). The shower tray will be white acrylic and there will be no tiles at wash-hand basin, just shower tiles and the herringbone floor tiles. Cle, thanks for your comment though I completely disagree with you - metro/subway tiles have been around since the last century and are classic - they just happen to currently be trendy! I do not slavishly follow trends but I live in an old cottage and the traditional style floor and subway tile suit the property perfectly. My bathroom is naturally dark, which I like, and want to work with hence the dark taupe herringbone floor tiles. There is really not a huge difference in the shades of white so I am probably over-analysing because I made a mistake choosing shower tiles before.

Hello. What did you decide on in the end? I have non bevelled metro tiles on the walls and trying to decide if I should do a hex mosaic for the floor, perhaps slightly larger than the penny size.

Wall-paper could do, especially now it exists some products that resist to damp environment. Here is an article about all the different cladding you can use and the specificity of each of them.
