Love the round bushes, what are they?

Do those bushes need continual shaping and trimming?
Will they grow in Qld?

Buxus sempervirens. Yes they need clipping once or twice a year and will live for many years if you look after them! I haven't been to Qld but I expect they will manage there providing they get plenty of water and it doesn't get too hot. They are tough plants

OK, I have decided that I want one of these, but outside the house, for an outdor spa experience (we have a totally secluded and leafy garden, so I'm not worried about the neighbours. I already have hot and cold feeds outside, and drainage should be pretty easy. But I think concrete has to be the material for the tub, for durability, and it will need a cover. Anyone have any links?

"Conservatory-type" is a great way to describe it. The structure had a polycarbonate roof with part-uPVC, part-solid siding, if that makes sense. With the new improvements, it's now a proper extension!

room for small sofa and 4/6 seater circular dining table

measurement wall on left to back of chair. centre of room =2 metres. 2 seater sofa would be where standing cardboard is and front of seat is cardboard on floor. wondering is this too tight. 2nd photo ID "sofa"more at an angle. Given that both spaces won't be used at same time and work chairs pushed in after use , you'd have more space in stove area and also moving sofa if required for dining space. Circular table would have similar excursion into the room.

Yes so they have a back door on their lean to and then they have knocked through the old main house wall to make it open plan? That's our idea but we will have bifolds across so we can leave them open all the time if we wanted. The conservatory has a fully locked door on it anyway so not sure why we even need two locked doors. Just need to check with the insurance though. Ours is south west facing so it gets craxy hot in summer - like an oven! The roof is only plastic so it's not even glass. I did have a glass lean to in our first house which we made into a huge room and that was lovely but just put blinds up for summer to block the heat.
