Fed up of my glass splashback
Comments (7)Couple of ideas ... 1) cover with stainless steel splashback which is stick on so it can sit over your current one. Should be thinner styles that clad existing ones (or get someone to make you one) 2) attach a vinyl fablon over the glass which is wipeable/washable - the edge finish will depend on if you have anything adjacent to it ie wrap around or cut flush. You can get so many colours and patterns these days and it won’t be expensive to change if you don’t like it. A roll will probably cover it a few times if it gets too dirty but I used a white marble fablon as a worktop cover in my last house. Cost £10! 3) as mentioned- you can get a tile paint or even a glass paint. Try the fablon first though - I would ;0)...See MoreHelp for splashback colour in kitchen
Comments (4)Hi Liz, Cashmere grey is a great colour as so many colours go with it. would you like to add another colour to the kitchen? If so I would suggest a light pastel green or blue. If you are unsure of adding another colour a white glass back splash always look great! If you could put up some photos of your kitchen we might be able to help more. Comments (19)Toughened vs non-toughened have been a dilemma for kitchen owners for a while. The objective truth is that yes toughened glass is stronger and heat resistant, but due to significant price difference sometimes it makes sense to take risk and just replace mirror in case of breakage, which will still be cheaper than buying full toughened from the beginning, especially taking in consideration that non-tgh antique is stock product and you don’t need to wait for 2-3 weeks for production. If you are looking for simple coloured or printed glass, then definitely go for toughened since price difference is insignificant and it’s not only safer and heat resistant, but also 4-5 times stronger to impact which is good against accidental hits. The other important fact is that broken mirror can bring you bad luck for 7 years!:) so only choose professionals for your installation. We are now producing probably over 100 splashbacks per month with fair share of toughned mirrors so happy to help!...See MoreHelp with Kitchen splashback/Wall protection
Comments (18)Hi Amy, Have a look here, it is our splashback and other glassworks catalogues: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1lNMo-zjO2Qm1domfNMNmhrBYxmX23d6x/view?usp=sharing We do all of the splashbacks by UV printing method, you might want to learn more about it before buying splashback because if you will be going for printed one, there are many cheap alternatives that i.e. require reprinting in few years. UV Printing lasts for 70+ years. Moreover, by UV you can also do the plain colour splashback that you initially decided for, but it is going to be slightly cheaper. Have a look on pricing here https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/232760255417 Are you looking for some samples or real pictures? I can have a walk through our workshop with a camera as we have one (60x60cm) black splashback in stock waiting to be posted. #Edit: Toughened and Heat resistant is a must-have feature! Otherwise, it will not usually last for longer than few weeks, it is too easy to smash annealed glass (standard type)....See MoreDaisy England
