Cleaning paint off Polyflor Expona LVT flooring

Hi guys,

I've got Polyflor Expona LVT flooring and am trying to clean some minor paint splashes off the floor. What products or techniques to you find have worked doing this with your LVT?

I guess the answer will probably depend on the type of paint that’s on it ?

Hi Gabby - yes I noticed that as well re the notifications!! Ridiculous! Maybe there is something in settings that stops that otherwise I will just have to unfollow everyone, urgh. Whats the name of the one you liked from the samples? There was some nice Karndean BUT they were well out of our price range so it always depends on your budget of course. We wanted a warm but neutral floor and this one looks both warm and cool sometimes. Originally I wanted a rich warm floor to balance out the grey but the orange tones clashed with the units and made them look too blue/retro so we decided to go with this one instead.

I completely missed that! LOL. Mornings ;0) - the door will indeed be painted the same colour. I just took it off to paint all the door frame and it’s on my list for the next rainy day (been starting the garden tidy up now the patio is done as it’s a mess!) Only pain is that from the hallway it will be painted a lighter colour so now I have to sand down all the drips on it and the frame as I made a mess, ha ha. Would have loved dark doors in the hall BUT it’s a tiny space with barely any natural light and has 5 doors in it!! (Bungalow) pfff. All wood so have to paint them (horrified smiley face inserted here!!)

It's difficult to truly replicate the natural beauty of something like Travertine, Laura. However, Karndean and other luxury vinyl tile (LVT) manufacturers can get close and can offer additional benefits that Travertine cannot offer. Main points being the one you hit on… general maintenance. With a natural stone floor you will need to have some kind of routine maintenance factored into your "free time". Depending on the tiles thickness, you do also run the rick of potential cracks over time. Here's a reply we recently posted to a Houzz user posing a similar question: Karndean and Amtico are the brand LVT leaders. Amtico been about for 50+ years, Karndean 25+. They are great at marketing and their position in the market means you pay over the odds for what you get. They both deliver very, very good products and designs but compared to other reputable manufacturers on the market they are pricey. fran11home the tiles are made by Marazzi these particular ones are their treverkever sand ones though they have a full range on their website. In the UK I ordered mine from CTD tiles

Methylated Spirits should do it. Might take a bit of rubbing if the paint is thick and dried on.
