Beige seems a good way to go. However, headboards are easily changed with a piece of material sewn like a big pillow case, then you can change with seasons/mood etc: fuchsia, green, tapestry, silks, all those things that look great in the magazine but you wonder how long you can live with. Also good if you every want to move the room around and you end up with the bed against white instead of blue walls. Just in case you're like me and can never ever make up your mind.

Hi Teresa, I work with Olympia Upholstery - they are able to build and upholster or re-upholster existing piece. They can integrate electrics, bed base fittings and work from a sketch. Beds can look good in front of windows. I do agree with Mehdia re loss of light and it would be good to see pics once available (many windows also seem to be off centre when in this predicament!). I also agree with you re what it looks from outside. Shutters (or cafe ones) would be ideal but you could consider bottom up blinds, these are sheer but there are non-sheer ones available. You could layer these with curtains (or do the same with shutters)
