what do you think about these Diamante Damson Tiles in the kitchen?

I have a small kitchen with gloss white cupboards and grey/white countertops. I need to put in a splashback and I also want a bit of a focal point in the kitchen, but I'm not sure if

1) this color is too much and

2) does it have a bathroom looks

3) if you do think its a good choice, would you go for a grey or white grout

I think it comes down to personal taste. This isn’t my taste as I remember these colours being fashionable in interiors a long time ago.
But I don’t think it feels like a bathroom tile.
I does seem like you want something bold.... does that have to be tiles? Could you get neutral tiles and add a wall paint colour that can be easily changed? Or some art?

What do you think about porcelain floor tiles for a living room?

I have wood effect tiles in my hall and kitchen, I'm not sure if they are porcelain or ceramic but they aren't holding up too well. Tiny chips appear and it looks like little specs of paint on the floor :( not sure where they come from whether it's when something is dropped on it or a chair scraped or something but I wouldn't have them down myself (they were here when we bought) I have however had Karndean flooring laid in my lounge and that is superb. Not noisy underfoot nor cold unlike wood and laminate so I'm very happy with that. Needs hoovering everyday though, but I have a toddler and a dog.

Thank you for your reply. perhaps your photographer isn't the best at composing and displaying the quality woodwork. Got to say if I had a solid wall of cupboards like that, i would have to break them up with useful mirrors. the handles for the nice bathroom space look far too overt and noticeable for me, but maybe the client chose them.

Does anyone have resin flooring - what do you think?

Hi there! I have clients who had this done. Basically resin floor is great however if you decide do have it you need to be prepared for little marks. If you move furniture around you might find difficult to get rid of the old marks where they were positioned. Hope this helped.

personally don't like it iy really geels dated. Perhaps if it was laid in a different pattern it might feel and look a bit more modern.

Hi, sorry but I don’t like the colour either. The tiles are fine but I liked the softer shades better. I particularly like the pastel

mint one. Here’s the shades I liked

I don't think it matters if the colour is fashionable, but I think it's too dominant. Rather than focus on colour you could consider introducing a texture instead? Can you post a picture?

Have seen this in a friends house and they look fantastic, she has pale grey units with a. light floor

In terms of colour I think that only you can make that choice - I love bold colours for example, but appreciate that not everyone has my taste :). So I will answer the next two questions

2) No I do not think it looks too bathroom-like.

3) Personally I think it would need to be white grout (as in the images) or at least a pale grey if you still want to have the tile effect, with it being such a dark and strong colour.
