Love the legs on this island!

How do you hide the plumbing underneath? What does that look like? Thinking about this for my remodel and would love some suggestions.

Hello. The plumbing is hidden either behind or inside the legs depending on the design.

I agree with many of the comments on here in that if they really work in the space you have then why not? However they don't work for every space and other ideas can make the kitchen easier to work within and still have an impact. In our kitchen a peninsular worked best. It is 90 cm wide so I have kitchen units one side and on the dining side I have a long shelf for all my cookery books, drawers underneath that, and a cabinet for our water softener. There is an overhang at one end with stools for 2 people. I could have fitted an island in, but it would have ended up much smaller and less useful than the peninsular, with less storage.

Can you buy a freestanding island? Or buy just island, not a trolley!

You can just put Ikea drawer cabinets back to back. Ikea carcasses are very high quality. Hi. I might go for a scattered multi globe. This one from westelm picks out the tones in your windows so might work nicely? Table wise I'd go oak and mirror the shape of your stool legs. In terms of chairs, what material were you thinking? Is the island a blue black? If so I might go for blue chairs and then add colour for art and accessories
