January 2016 decluttering challenge!
Comments (61)I'm back - lots of 'stuff' went to charity, house looking better but still a loft full! That will change as I'm selling loads to support both my Church funds and a children's charity which I'm cutting off my hair for!!! They make wigs for children who've lost hair due to cancer. I've got about 10 inches so far and I'm hosting a supper, auction and haircut night in the spring - want to grow a couple of inches more for 2 wigs. It costs the charity £350 per wig so need twice that & I'll be a happy shorthaired bunny. My paid helper is a little prone to not quite finishing jobs so next week it's that, then up in the loft to have a good sort. I WAS a compulsive shopper - she's put paid to that and made me see sense - so all of my beautiful items, brand new, tags on, have to go!!!!! Cathartic or what!...See MoreGreat British Interior Design Challenge - thoughts?
Comments (23)I'vr been watching both £100K Houses and Ugly Houses. Quite like both but oh my word, how over budget do they end up! What would happen if the homeowners couldn't borrow the extra? Granted, the £10k budget on £100k Houses was way too low and if we're saying that as viewers why are the architects not telling the homeowners? This week's Ugly Houses was the same - £60k (they had a contigency amount of £15k) budget but ended at, I think, £85k. So again, £10k over. The architects do the work for free and I'd really like it if were told how much their time and work would have cost for the project. I know, I know, it all makes for better tv. There have to be disasters, budget problems, shoddy finishes, tears. If everything went smoothly would we watch? headers13 I would hope the BBC would pay to sort the rooms out if they were awful. Quite a few of them I really could not live with. Do the BBC pay for it all? Or the homeowners?...See MoreVisit our Notting Hill Design Studio Today

Comments (17)😂 It is, that's why the idea is so great and to see people's different interpretations although I was definitely going the same route as you on yesterday's table! 😂 that bust is actually a pendant light, it's by Mineheart/Young and Battaglia, as is the rug! (I think the art you used yesterday might be by them too)...See Moreminnie101
