How to build floating garden bench?

I'm looking to include a suspended wooden bench in a curved garden wall. Something like this:

Garden Design, Turney Road, Dulwich 6 · More Info

I can see the cantilevered wall brackets. But how do I build the rest? What is the frame underneath the wooden slats?

I would speak to a local landscaper to build this. It's trickier than it looks.

Thank you people! For your replies. I never thought about speaking to the colleges. Good idea! I already plan to add height with a square chunky black pergola, I’ve walked down there today and thought why on earth am I hanging on to my greenhouse - I grow seedlings cucumbers and tomatoes, but it’s otherwise just a dumping ground. It would be the perfect spot for a sofa or swingseat with fire pit which would leave the lower patio area free for a table and pizza oven (one day in my dreams!) It isn’t a small space, but I would like quite a lot from it. Budget is non existent - we have done everything ourselves by hand so far...Which we have enjoyed luckily! Hubby needs a spot outside his shed to tinker with our bikes. I have my veggie patch already but obviously would like more.. love the greenhouse but a smaller one would suffice. Loved my swingseat and want another..kids have a huge paddling pool that kills the lawn every year! Sun rises in the front of the house and sets at the back, so the garden is southwest facing. The new patio area gets the sun from morning through till about 6pm. And then lightly again at 7.30pm (big trees in the way!) The patio by the house gets the sun from mid morning till 7pm in the summer (it goes down behind those huge trees). Photo is 7.30pm taken from by the house. You can see the wonderful trees by the river. It is wonderful down there (albeit pongy!) as we don’t hear the main road as much - just the birds and the ducks on the river at the bottom of our garden

Glad it helped. sorry I’m having a moment, do you mean you’re building a wall where the fence currently is with your neighbour? in terms of seating material as the garden isn’t wide I don’t know if I’d go for a dark’ish colour to make it feel bigger. I know this one doesn’t have storage but I like the combo with wood to add texture. If you did mean building a wall then I like the fence in the 2nd pic as an alternative. Final question, are the bamboos going into built in beds within the seating? If so, you may want to think about space available. I don’t know if they need less space than other plants but the “bed” along with the seat, table and kitchen may overwhelm the garden. It may be worth masking it out. This first pic has also reminded me of lighting!

Is the building insulated? If not I would go for external insulation and rainscreen cladding (cedar, larch, thermawood, Hardieplank... loads of options!) I would go for - Double sliding/French doors on the office/playroom side - Partially glazed door for the shed storage. - Gravel the side and front of the building - Trailing plants along the side to improve the view out of the windows. I’m just about to start a garden office and we’ve gone for insulated roof panels, a simpler way to have an insulated finished roof without the need for multiple roof joists and all the necessary layers to make up a cold/warm roof! If you can, I would increase the pitch of the roof to at least 5 degrees, add some overhang all around (especially the front) and install guttering and a soak away. If you’re up for the work, I’d reseed the garden and add some topsoil. - Raised beds down the sides - Paint/stain the weathered fence panels - Maybe some nice tiles or pavers on the patio with a table and chairs

My vote is planting. You could make a feature out of the areas that have been bricked up. One appears to have been a door, so finding some old doors , with oldfashioned hinges, on their last legs and placing them under the remaining track to give the illusion of 'some where else'. Further down is a window that has feature brickwork - return it to being a window with a mirror. Then as the planting establishes you will have a vertical garden with features within it.
