Comments (29)Hello Laura, If you really want to keep the room lighter and on the brighter side, then paint the chimney breast and keep the alcoves a brighter colour.. With the addition of a mirror or something over the mantle you can have the blue impact but lightened with a reflective decorative piece that a mirror offers.. One other thing.. Navy is excellent with tan and elements of brass or old gold.. : ))...See MoreNeed decorating ideas with emerald green sofa
Comments (11)Hello Ana! The sofa you have chosen is very beautiful and elegant. For what concerns the walls I would paint them in white colour without wallpapers, in order to make the room brighter and wider. I would recommend you some models of armchairs and coffee tables (to put in the centre of the living room); they are available in several elegant colours and finishings. If you click on the product name you will see all the furniture details (with dimensions and colours available). Don't hesitate to contact me for any info. Comments (4)I would 100% start with the floor. All colours interact with each other and can appear different in different lights. I would choose the flooring you are going to have and then proceed from there. For example the tone (how light or dark the floor is) of the floor partly determines the tone of the walls. The colour of the floor is really important - the oak in the image could look quite violety. A large sample of flooring as a starting point would be a good idea. Little Greene have a fantastic range of 'greys' and some stunning blues, you could colour match them with Valspar paint. The grey will be harder to choose than the blue so you could start with that, but getting it right with the flooring would be my starting point....See MoreLiving Room Colour Scheme With Teal Sofa
