Kitchen Paint Opinions

Hey,
Just looking at opinions on paint for this room, there is going to be perfect fit blinds on the door (white) however the order has been delayed. I plan on having a clock on the wall to the right of the dining table , and possibly a tall plant in the corner.
In the kitchen there are two prints above the coffee machine, and since the photo has been taken blinds are on the window and a trio of succulents (these can be changed of course).
The paint we've currently got isn't washable so if theres any marks that get on the walls (cooking/water splashes) it marks quite significantly.

Comments (19)First thing i saw was where the handles are, why would they be in the middle of the door stile? the handle is to high for the wall units and to low for the base units. Apart from that if you have the space an inframe shaker kitchen can look stunning, but if its in a small kitchen with smaller sized units all the extra vertical lines due to the frames can look very busy. Comments (30)Hello We recently completed a project in West London and as an architect I am generally a fan of polished concrete floors. The two companies we came across were : Lazenby's who every one knows and the Polished Concrete Flooring Contractors but there are others. It was used in the open plan kitchen and living area and looks great, we specified a Dark Basalt grey colour which came out beautifully. The one watch point we have become aware of with this type of flooring is that some clients would like to install under floor heating with it But due to the nature of concrete, polished or not, it is not a great fan of rapid temperature changes which cause expansion and visible cracking in the system. Any heating system that integrates underfloor heating with a polished concrete floor needs to be done carefully as the temperature range in the floor needs to be specially controlled. Some suppliers , such as Lazenby, will not recommend it. In this particular project we used Zender perimeter trench heaters to avoid this risk. Otherwise it is a material with a natural texture and is also a sturdy finish that is easy to maintain. Comments (7)I do like some of the F&B colours (we've just had our kitchen repainted in some of their shades), but my decorator says that it's not worth paying the extra as the paint is no better quality than trade paint, so he always colour matches it (unless clients insist he uses F&B). Other "premium" paints are better quality, such as Little Greene.
