New front door advice!
Comments (10)Is the current door not worth renovating? It looks fine from the distance of the photo. I would paint it a nice red or grey colour and matching the garage doors with the same. With the front garden landscaped it would look great. If there is money then I would place double doors at the centre of the building as it is already quite symmetrical, so the door to the left is slightly odd looking....See MoreAdvice on colour of front door
Comments (4)hello, that's a really beautiful front door... personally I'd paint it all the same colour... we're going through a bit of a change of colour ourselves and went railings... quite bold... and obviously still a work in progress... but we absolutely LOVE it! the whole place looks immediately cooler and sharper.. ignore the back door.. still trying to find the right reclaimed replacement! and in about a week I will happily send you a pic of the front door once it's done! sorry it's a mess I just thought it might be useful!...See MoreFront porch and door advice
Comments (15)Morning! If it was me personally I would go for a new modern front door with two sidelights either side to let light into your home. something like the attached in a pebble grey or anthracite grey. Matching your garage door colour always makes such a huge impact it is definitely worth thinking about! I think your fascia, soffit, guttering and cladding suit the property in the colour you have them. If you have the budget the suggestion previously of some updated windows on the bays and at the front could be nice, Origin now have some high side hung sashes which would mean you wouldn't need the extra pane at the bottom of the bays and could get rid of the top openers. I am happy to help with any other ideas :) Hannah...See MoreFront door and garage colour decisions!
Comments (4)Your house looks familiar, have you been on Houzz before with a similar dilemma? Not a criticism, just wondered! I’m glad you are getting rid of the porch as I love the arches of 1930s houses. Mine is a mini version of yours! I think front door colours is one of the most common dilemmas on here. Black is a great colour on 1930s front doors and a black garage will look very smart. You could have a black or a white garage and a coloured door of your choice such as the peacock blue. I love bold colours and my front door is F&B Cooks Blue, my neighbour has lilac and across the road is a door in sage green. . I love the black & white tiles. I have an original version of them on my front door step, so they really are in keeping. Here’s some ideas, the first is a peacock bluish garage!...See MoreSonia
