Does anyone have a 1500 bath that doesn't feel too small?
Comments (6)I once put a small old cast iron bath this size in a small cottage renovation that I did for myself. I loved it because I could lie comfortably without sliding down as my feet were propped against the end. It would fill up really quickly being so small and being cast iron meant that it would stay warm for quite a time. I got it from a reclamation yard. Personally I think that the L shaped baths go out of date really quickly and hate the feel of the plastic ones which squeak as you get out!...See MoreDoes anyone have experience of Atrafloor?
Comments (45)If you scroll through this link you will see my photos. I ordered this for my kitchen. My completely inexperienced contractor installed the floors over existing 50 year old asbestos vinyl. We used the Atrafloor cold weld. The seam is almost invisible and the product is water tight. Your installers are using old technology and old methods. It is very usable for a home installation. Mine have been down about 3 months old and look great. My installer also made a small measuring mistake and I ended up with a 2nd seam, but it is not noticeable at all. You cannot use the type of adhesive sold in USA it is old fashioned and old technology. Mine was not stiff at all, but I did keep it inside the house to acclimatize before installation. It is soft a pliable. Atrafloor answered all my emails....See MoreDoes anyone have a utility in an outbuilding?
Comments (12)I had the same idea recently but decided against it after a trial run. You’ll probably laugh at this but I decided to make it a rule that every time I did the laundry(despite not having the utility yet) I would walk to and from the garage. Within a couple of weeks I realised it wasn’t practical. It was cold, miserable and dark half the time I was doing the laundry and it put me off doing it at all. I’m revising my kitchen plans instead....See MoreAnother crisis - Homebase stone belfry paving kit
Comments (11)Thank you so much guys for your responses, I was really upset yesterday! But then I went out to have another look at the slabs (and managed to move two out of the way to see the third one) and that one was less grey and more... rust coloured? So I think it is a case of the top two were extra grey. In the online pictures the colour seems vastly buff with sections of grey, but the top two slabs were all grey :/ I'm sure I can return them (would need to find the receipt) but what stops me is the builder is coming on Monday (and I just want this patio already - you know how fickle the sunshine is here haha and I feel like I've wasted so much sun already :D ) but also because the york gold colour (that I think I want) I'd also be buying sight unseen so...... ugh! Lol However, I'm coming around to this colour :) and you're both right, a nice grey can be really nice! I need to stop second guessing all the decisions I spent months making, and triple checking and just let it all progress now, I do belive it's those super last min nerves getting to me! I will breath :)...See MoreViv Bristow
