We used a company called Ark
design Build based in Tonbridge. They build bespoke to each clients requirements.

Factory style stairs and walls ie glass with dark frames are very in at the moment. I've attached a couple of images but they don't show exactly what I mean! The 2nd is one of a Jamie's italian If you look at the glass wall at the back. I would go for something like this. If you're on a budget you may well achieve this by leaving the glass in and painting every architectural element of the stairs in a charcoal/slate grey except the treads and the underside of the stairs. I would also paint your windows the same and leave walls in white. I love the table the current owners have. I'd go for something similar but with a bench one side and a mix of industriał and early to mid century chairs the other. I wouldn't personally have a 2nd dining area though. Do you need a study area or extended sitting area? I'd go for velvet Chesterfield sofas in either grey or navy with some mustard cushions. The wall over the red cabinet is crying out for a huge piece of bright contemporary art. I'd also have to have a cowhide rug! It's a fantastic apartment! Reduced VAT on renovating a house that has been empty?

Hi, yes it is possible to only pay 5% VAT on renovations, but under certain conditions. It has to be not lived in for 2 years prior to work starting. This can be proven by council tax records, utility bills, etc or better still a certificate from an empty homes officer. The builders/contractors need to be VAT registered and they will need to agree to reduced rate before work starts. Basically they will want to know if they can claim the VAT back from HMRC then pass on the savings to you. This site explains it better: https://renovateme.co.uk/blog/reduced-vat-for-renovation/.
