Hi, thanks. Yes, I have looked at BHS & just taken a quick look at Wayfair too but the styles like this that they have are very traditional - this one has slightly different shaped arms which I think updates a traditional design and makes it different from any that I have found. I also like the width to the depth. As others get wider, they tend to get deeper too with 'tiers' in the design. I've seen nice ones on Achica in the past and had hoped Laura Ashley or John Lewis might come up trumps for me.

Swapping the white cabinet and glass table has worked well. I think french chairs looked better in the window but angle them towards each other slightly to make look a little less formal. That still leaves an empty space in the middle of the room tho. Hope you don't mind but I've had a little play with one of your pictures just for some inspiration. I've added a floor lamp instead of table lamp, statement armchair, footstool/ottoman, and a mirror/ art above the white cabinet. One is more modern and the other continues the french theme.

Dear all, many thanks for your wonderful support. We are scheduled to move in Jan 12, and sorry to say, but we decided to postpone our kitchen update. It will be too much to handle for us. moving, contractors, business travel, etc. I hope that one day, sooner rather than later, I can give you a wonderful update on our kitchen remodel, incorporating some of the ideas that you contributed so generously.
