I agree with Brandi - silver could look amazing. Also charcoals and other grey neutrals. I would also be tempted to have some accents of either a very saturated version of the coral pink - salmon or coral. Equally I think a contrasting colour like turquoise could work. I would be thinking of cushions, art, or a patterned throw on the bed. Definitely not too much of th intense colour.

Hi Sue. The pale pink doesn't seem to be lightening up the room ATM so I wonder if you've considered going dark? The pictures below are farrow and ball Hague blue which would look great against the screen and the floor. You could also add a large potted plant and maybe consider wallpapering the back of the shelves in a William Morris paper as per the link? This could also work for the boiler cupboard but would try just painting it first. Hello again Thanks for the carpet comment. I took a while to choose it, and had a moment (or ten) of self doubt, but it really does go perfecttly in the room. I cant find a tape measure so have taken pics to give an idea of scale -they're probably about 4cm square.
