Hello! The wall color greys in each room are so subtle & beautiful!

Which colors were used in formal living salon w 2 identical couches and in the media room with the "L" shaped grey couch? Thank you!

The walls are painted in Farrow and Ball paint – “Cornforth white No. 228”… ceilings are “Wevet No. 273.

If you are considering going down the dark grey routes, have a look at the paint range by Paint Library or Little Greene Paint Company rather than Farrow and Ball. They both have a much broader range of greys to choose from and you will be able to find a grey with an undertone that works with the rest of your scheme. You can order the colours charts from their websites or from http://www.designerpaint.com/ As you have a brown sofa I would look towards a grey that has some softness from a touch of brown in it. A personal favourite is Paint Library's Monument. It comes out much darker than the colour on their website, but has a softness that I don't think Downpipe does. Also look at Little Greene's French Grey. Having said all that, I think Dabrovska Design's idea of picking up on the jadey green you have in your room from your cushions is lovely. As for where to put the colour, I think the composition of your sideboard would benefit from a strong colour behind it. However, your sofa also looks a bit lost on the pale wall. You could solve all of this through a tonal scheme...the very dark behind the sideboard and the rest of the walls in the palest version of the same colour. Again both Paint Library and Little Greene do 'colour scale' which make these choices very easy for you. You clearly love styling, so I am sure once you pick a couple of new wall colours you will have no trouble tying the whole space together very well.

Sorry I didn't see your message. The first one is a little dear. Swoon editions and la redoute also do a parquet topped one though and are considerably cheaper if you're on a bit of a budget. The second is a faux shagreen which would also add the warmth with the texture and brass. It's also available at Alexander and pearl for the same price but I didn't check either of their delivery costs. I meant to do all the walls in a warm white with a hint of grey. You could add a number of things to help bring life to the room. You have chosen the perfect muted colour scheme that will complement lots of art work and colours. From your photos I would say you could add a large mirror above the fire place- you could go for something to complement the period of the property and fireplace or something slightly more industrial would work as it looks like you are already mixing contemporary and period with your choices of furniture and finishes. Art will be a huge help as well. Choose some large and smaller pieces to compliment the size of the room- you look like you enjoy your music and media (from the large tv and speakers) maybe some repro or original posters of favourite films? Or framed vinyl covers of you favourite albums. Pick things that you aesthetically connect with. Art is personal and should be something you enjoy every time you look at it, so pick pieces because you like them. It doesn’t need to be expensive. You could also think about a statement clock in the room as well. Lots of options I would say. Do not feel limited by a particular colour scheme with the art- go with things you enjoy looking at. For the sofa -with throws-mimic nature- stick to earthy tones grey browns you can pick up lots of cosy throws in these colours or animal Hyde type colours or actual Hyde’s...and once you have chosen your art- find cushions that are different sizes and textures (not leather) to help soften the look of the sofa and draw the eye away from its shape and on to the cushions! Or go with the nature theme and embrace the animal Hyde’s colours and it will all tie in with the leather. Of course these suggestions depend on personal preference but there are lots of ideas on houzz and pictures that can help with inspiration...hope my suggestions are of use!!

Hello, it’s funny but warm cream shades fell out of favour when grey seemed to take over the world of decor for many years. I like a warm, buttery cream but I struggled to find images of it used with grey kitchen units. I managed to find this pic of a grey DeVol kitchen and cream walls. Love the way it’s teamed with wooden shelves. As to paint shades, I’ve used Dulux Ivory and Dulux Elderflower Tea in the past, as well as Almond White. Lovely warm neutrals. i also wondered whether changing the cupboard doors to something more to your taste may improve things? There are lots of companies that do this, and I noticed even B&Q sell just doors too. Just a suggestion.
