I agree too, we used BCA based in Windermere on the reflection of Houzz reviews and had an awful experience with them (many mistakes, integrity issues) and yet they continue to have 5 stars and even have awards from Houzz? It just seems unfair that the negative experiences aren’t published on the get out clause of "it wasnt suitable" If the reviews published by Houzz no longer reflect the true experiences then how can anyone trust Houzz? It will be Houzz’s reputation that becomes known as untrustworthy in time. The concept of Houzz is great but there needs to be a sense of fairness for the potential buyers that will engage with the suppliers who are paying Houzz. Please Please publish the negative reviews so that customers can see who is good and who is average or even poor at what they do.. I would even pay a subscription to Houzz if they would just remove their bias publications of their suppliers .. That way Houzz don’t lose by publishing accurate reviews and not be penalised by their suppliers how when found out remove thier fees to Houzz ... Please keep this great concept you have honest and with integrity.

Hi Yolanda - I'd change the stools, table and chairs, and swap the pendants for something in coloured glass or (personally) metallic, and change the cabinet handles from steel to brass/gold. Instant lift. Splashback-wise, try distressed mirror (suitably tempered and toughened) as it has loads of personality, bounces light around and is easy to clean. Then play with wall colour. Warm accents will stop the wood door from jarring so much (or paint it, if you can convince your husband). You have a lovely kitchen - will take very little to get it where you want!
