raised patio against house?

hi, I am building a raised patio against my house about a foot above grade. i will have to tie the raised patio wall stone to both sides of my house because the width of the patio extends more than the width of my house. in other words the wall stone will return towards both sides walls of my house. my question is when it hits the side walls of my house is it structurally sound just sitting against the foundation or will it push away over time?
