what do u think of this table in here?
Comments (6)Positioning is fine IMO -but the rug looks too small ! Ideally you'd have one big enough that the chairs stay on it while someone is sitting relaxed at the table - not just when chair pushed in !...See MoreKitchen help - what can we do to make it look better?
Comments (65)Depending on how far you budget goes, I would look at adding traditional cornice and pelmet and replacing the plinth with a similar oyster colour. End panels for wall units could also be replaced / added. Some chessboard style tilling in 3 colours would also bring out the walls. It's hard to tell but is the oak surround also on the wall units? Comments (65)I'm looking to renovate the ensuite of my 2 bed flat and came across photos of open plan bathrooms. Some of the photos look great and I'm considering it as I don't have much room to work with in the bathroom and my bedroom has room I can use. I'm looking at moving the basin into the bedroom area, which would free up space for a bath and shower. I was thinking of making the basin look less bathroom-y and more like a makeup desk using wood and soft furnishing and a full length mirror. The rest of the bathroom would be behind a wall (no door). Main problem is that the door to the bedroom will open to the the basin (the rest of the bedroom is on the left), which I guess would put people off. I quite like the idea but I'm concerned it would put off potential buyers (more so after reading the comments). Should I stick with a traditional ensuite? I can put a bath and shower in there but I think it would be too cramped or I can loose the bath and have more room with just a shower. What do you think?...See MoreNew kitchen lower ground floor of victorian house.. what do you think?
Comments (15)I don't really understand the "walk through cupboard into larder space". The plan just shows storage either side, would you not be better just having a wide larder unit? Agree with Jonathan re range and integrating fridge. Only on the assumption you won't be using both dishwashers at the same time, I might swap the one in the corner with the bin (so you're not dripping mess on the floor and DW's in corners are trickier as you can only stand to one side to stack etc) and move the other DW to the island but also swap the side of the drawers. It would be a major trip hazard though if you do use at the same time :) Given you have 2 DW's do you need an extra fridge in the utility? something like Little Greene French grey/pale may work for units, which is a Victorian paint colour. You could have oak on the island although it's obviously not as practical as Quartz etc. i think a butlers sink would also be more in keeping?...See MoreSantiago Barcala
