mood boards for bedroom

guest bedroom in which I must keep the wall colour, bed and carpet.

So just hoping for help with soft furnishings please. i like the English country house look.

On the final two boards I have not quite finalized which fabric would be used on what.

any thoughts very welcome!

All lovely but can we see a picture of the actual room with wall colours etc? It will help us with suggestions.

Painting the frame maybe a good idea. Maybe a deep, dark on-trend blue would work nicely. I have attached a few pictures of the room set at Grand Designs Live. I didn't use mine on the walls as you suggest because it did not fit the scheme.. but I have suggested it to many clients that have come to see the set including one visitor who is using it to display Vinyl Records as they are coming back into fashion :) Do let us know what you decide to do. Hello! I wonder, do you plan to replace all existing furniture or plan to keep bed, desk? It is good to know size of furniture to keep to know exactly what else we can fit into your space. In any case, I have quick rough sketch of possible layout. I would divide room on two areas casual where you sleep and get ready for a day and working/art and craft area. I would move bed on the wall, place bedside table with lamp and wardrobe for your clothes and shoes. When you enter your room, you should see something you really like to get positive moment as first impression. For example you can place open shelves from floor to the ceiling and place your art work, cool picture frames or whatever you like or as alternative place a chest of drawers and place wall art above it. Next to it closed storage to keep all your art/craft stuff tidy and then near window place your desk. Continuous storage will look too bulky above desk and also will block the light, so I would add another pair of shelves. And so, there is no dilemma around storage you were worried about.

I like it! I think a big bold rug would the perfect finisher though, I'm guessing you want to keep it neutral? If yes, I'd probably go for something black and white, something geometric maybe?

I found the Dulux Visualator, or whatever it’s called, to be pretty useless. I used it once to visualise my old sitting room colour just to see how accurate it was. My walls were Dulux Elderflower so compared it on the Dulux online thingy and it was completely different!

here are 3 pics. The walls are now all slipper satin by farrow and ball and the carpet is as per the mood boards.....

For the rug you will want to use an old looking Persian or Moroccan rug. Think Granny visited Marrakesh in the 30s type thing. Toile and checks are always a lovely combination.
